Civil Partnership Bill
Every Irish citizen should be alarmed at the passing of the Civil Partnership Bill unimpeded through the Dail and Senate last week. This Bill legitimises sexual deviance and sex outside of marriage and takes away the right of the child to a father and a mother,therefore denigrating marriage and family life.
In so doing this government has also refused to recognise the basic human right of every human being to a conscience. This is reminiscent of totalitarian regimes around the world who cruelly crushed the conscience of its citizens.
RENEW Attends Debate on Blasphemy Law
RENEW took part in a debate on the Amendment to the Irish Libel laws concerning Blasphemy at University of Limerick. We debated in favour of the new Blasphemy libel laws.
